A high-end public golf course exclusively for daily fee play. 345 acres along 1.5 miles of shoreline on the Balcarres Estate, owned and occupied by Anthony Lindsay, Lord Balniel. The 5,000-acre Balcarres Estate has been in his family for more than 400 years. The back of the site sits 80 feet above sea level and slopes down to the coast. The elevation change opens up breathtaking views spanning across the Firth of Forth to Muirfield, North Berwick and Edinburgh. A series of 500 coastal dunes located along the beach add to the links-style charm without obstructing the ocean views. Several elevated tees built into the design that play down the escarpment towards the ocean. Placed tees up on a ridge serving elevated greens so close to the water that golfers could “literally toss a golf ball into the water.” Among its true links characteristics, Dumbarnie Links is located along a magnificent coastal strip of land; built on sandy soil with only a few trees near the clubhouse site; firm and fast fescue playing surfaces; and traditional sod-stacked pot bunkers
Carnoustie Golf Links sets the bar in so many ways, and most recently won the award for the 2018 Environmental Golf Course of the Year by the R&A. Boasting a new clubhouse and host of the 2018 Open Championship, Golf Digest ranked this course in the Top-100 in the world, at No. 21. One of the longest courses on the Open rotation, the Championship course will test the golfer from tee to green on all 18-holes
The oldest ‘new’ course in the world, the second course at the “Home of Golf” was built by the Keeper of the Green Tom Morris in 1895, and it was imaginatively named to differentiate from its famous neighbor. Boasting undulating fairways and challenging greens, the New Course is a classic test of Links. For more than 600 years, St Andrews Links has felt the tread of every great champion and flinched as millions of golfers have hammered and hacked, swatted and swiped at balls of wood, leather, gutta percha and balata. It has felt the caress of hickory and the sharp assault of blades of steel and titanium. It is a living, breathing timeline with each and every single person who walks upon it an integral part of our history, our love and our passion for this place. The Old Course at St Andrews Links is the oldest and most iconic golf course in the world, known the world over as the “Home of Golf.” The sport was first played on these links as early as the 1400s and its’ extraordinary history has flourished ever since, including playing host to the Open Championship an incredible 29 times. The 700-year-old Swilcan Bridge and Hell Bunker are recognized across the globe, yet the greatest feature of the Old Course is that despite its’ grand status it remains a public golf course, open to all. Teeing it up in front of the famous R&A Building, where so many legends of the game have once stood, will cement your love for St Andrews. An idyllic seaside town steeped in golfs vast history, you will want to return year after year.
Located a short 10-minute drive from the Old Course at St Andrews Links, Kingsbarns is one of the youngest courses Signature Golf has to offerHowever, what it lacks in age, it certainly makes up for in class. One of the most spellbinding links courses in all of Scotland, this modern-day masterpiece has cohosted the European Tour’s Dunhill Links Championship since 2001 along with the Old Course at St Andrews and Carnoustie.
